There's a lot going on in Thun city centre on Sunday sales:
Christmas market - Rösslspiel - snack and mulled wine stalls - Christmas fir tree on Thun's Rathausplatz (Three Nuts for Cinderella.)

The Samichläuse of the Edelweiss Riders ride through Thun city centre on their motorbikes. This is where the Samichläuse pass: Stadthofplatz - Bälliz - Kreisel Guisanplatz - Aarestrasse - Maulbeerkreisel - Freienhofgasse - Kreuzgasse - Lauitorkreisel - Obere Hauptgasse - Rathausplatz - Gerberngasse - Kuhbrücke - Bälliz - Stadthofplatz
The Edelweiss Riders have been organising this event in aid of this fundraising appeal for over twenty years.
On the Stadthofplatz, in an original Indian tipi tent with straw bales, "Märlierzählerinnen" tell stories. There will also be a photo tent with a real Harley. There, men, children and women can take a photo with a Father Christmas, which can be taken away immediately. The cost is CHF 5.00 per photo, which will be donated in full to the project.
There will be a bar and seating in the big tent. Coffee, drinks, hotdogs and fried mushrooms with bacon will be sold, all in aid of the project.
6 to 23 December, Waisenhausplatz - Mühleplatz
Regional specialities, fragrances, jewellery and much more are on offer in wooden huts decorated for Christmas. Rösslspiel and Father Christmas for the little ones.

Animal visitors at the Sunday sale. The traditional donkey ride - organised by the Spycher family from Uebeschi - is a must.
